Sheffield at night

There's nothing extraordinary about Sheffield at night. I was disappointed when I saw that everything closes so early here .The shops close at 5:30 / 6pm. The cinemas close early too. The bars' closing time is midnight, or if you're lucky they can be open until 2. When you walk in the street there are a few lights here and there and that's basically it.

Surprisingly, Sheffield is very lively at night. There are always many people wearing funny outfits, and walking in every directions no matter the weather. The road is often busy which makes it quite hard to cross. You can also see some people hanging outside with their friends, drinking , smoking or simply chatting, with no jackets on of course, (for some reason English people are not cold ) AND... the best thing of all is those black taxis driving everywhere, picking people up, dropping them off , and driving again to some mysterious places.

So yes, you might think there's nothing extraordinary about Sheffield at night. But it doesn't make it boring or monotonous.To tell you the truth, I've been out so much these past days that I forgot what " being bored " means.
