I don't think you miss your country that much when you are abroad. You quickly get used to this strange language & foreign currency. You adapt yourself to this new and very odd culture. You know that you're NOT going to see anything from home anymore but it's fine because you got used to this idea until...

...until you see something from your country. And that's exactly what happened to me. I saw this very French shop in the distance and I had to go there. I don't know what I expected when I entered but certainly not this .EVERY single thing was like home.The heat inside the shop , the way things were displayed, the colours, the products, the price tags,and so on. I felt like I was in Reunion Island again, in this shop I used to go , this shop that I know so much. I felt like I belonged there.

And the roles were reversed , I was at home,I was in MY shop, in MY culture. all the people around where English-speaking tourists , I knew where I was going and where all the things were. the price tags in pound were for the tourists. I felt very well in this shop because I was back into my culture and my country. and althought I thought I didn't miss Reunion Island , now I know that deep inside me , I do.
